Before you book a call.
The things people ask most before getting started.
What exactly am I buying?
One service. Enquiries from your agreed forms and phone setup are captured and acknowledged automatically. Eligible missed calls receive a text back. Follow-up runs on an agreed schedule with an attempt limit, and stops when a reply, booking, decline or opt-out is recorded. Each month you get a report of what came in and what it turned into. Compatibility and acknowledgement targets are confirmed and tested before launch.
It's set up and run for you. It isn't software you log into and manage yourself.
What does it cost?
From £1,500 to set up, then £650 a month. The audit confirms your exact figure and the written proposal fixes it before you commit to anything. It itemises software and messaging charges, support hours, included allowances, any minimum term and cancellation notice. Additional work requires a separate agreed quote.
I'm taking on a few first clients at a reduced setup fee, in exchange for being able to publish the results once I have them.
Where will I see enquiries and mark jobs booked or lost?
In the CRM or tracking tool we agree during the audit. I first check what you already use, who needs access and whether it can pass the required updates to the follow-up process. Any additional tool or integration work is included in the proposal before you commit.
Your named responder records replies, bookings, declines and next actions there. Before launch, we walk through those actions together and verify that follow-up stops correctly. There is no separate Compass Response dashboard to learn.
Do I still have to reply to people myself?
Yes, and this is the bit worth being clear about. Every enquiry reaches you quickly with a clear next step, and the ones that go quiet get chased. It doesn't answer for you.
You need one person, with someone to cover them when they're away, who picks up the enquiries that need a human and marks jobs won or lost. If nobody does that, you'll see exactly how many enquiries are going cold. Useful, but it won't win you the work.
Do I lose control of my phone number?
No, and it gets written down before anything is set up. Who owns each number, who pays for it, and what happens to it if we stop working together are all fixed in the proposal.
If a number is bought on your behalf, the agreement says whether it transfers to you at the end. Porting is the network's process and can take a couple of weeks, so I won't promise a date I don't control. What I won't do is hold a number hostage.
How quickly will you get back to me?
Within one working day, and usually sooner. Enquiries through the form come straight to a monitored inbox rather than sitting somewhere nobody checks.
It's a fair thing to judge me on. Anyone selling fast responses who takes four days to answer you has told you something useful.
How long does setup take?
Usually 7 to 14 days once the scope is agreed and I've got access. Provider approvals can add time, and your proposal confirms the timing.
Do I need to change my phone number or my CRM?
I look at what you already use during the audit. Compatibility, call forwarding and anything that would need to change get confirmed in the proposal before work starts, not discovered afterwards.
What if it doesn't work for my business?
Cancellation and any notice period are agreed in writing before work starts. I'd also rather tell you at the audit that it isn't a fit than take the work and disappoint you.
The honest disqualifier is volume. If very few people are getting in touch, your problem isn't enquiry handling, and I'd tell you that at the audit.
Can I add booking, reminders or invoice chasing?
Once the main service is live and working, yes, as separate pieces of work with their own price. I don't bundle them in to close a sale, and I don't quote them before the main thing is running properly.
Do you do website chat or WhatsApp?
Not as part of this service. If you specifically want website chat, say so at the audit and I'll tell you where it stands rather than sell you something that isn't ready.
Do you only work with trades?
My initial outreach focuses on UK trades and home services. Staying close to one group helps me understand their enquiry process, while suitable businesses in other sectors are welcome to enquire.
The same enquiry problem can occur in many sectors, but the setup can differ. I assess your country, tools, type of customer information and the access needed before offering a service. International enquiries are welcome; availability is confirmed case by case.
What decides it is your situation, not your sector: enough enquiries that losing some costs you, room to take more work, and someone who'll pick up the replies. I'll tell you on the call if it isn't a fit.
Is this compliant for a healthcare or aesthetics clinic?
Not with a blanket yes, and I’d be wary of anyone who tells you otherwise. Every clinic build starts from special-category health data handling: an agreed lawful basis, risk assessment and data processing agreement must be in place before any patient data is processed. Suitability is assessed for each clinic; no blanket compliance assurance is offered.
What happens to my data?
Only what's needed to deliver the service, under a signed data processing agreement for client work. You can have your records exported, and deleted when we finish. Full details are in the privacy policy.
